This 12 month 2011 calendar features art from some of Glory's friends and supporters.  Each month has a new image of her characters for you to enjoy!  Click the links above for more details and previews.

Sara Baker, AKA :icongloryangel: was in a car accident in 2007 which left her 'locked in.' This condition means that she is a quadriplegic. Though she is unable to use her arms and legs, her body still allows her to feel all over and she retains all of her mental functionality.  Sara and her mom live together in CA where her mom cares for her at home with some assistance from home care nurses.

All the profit from the sale of these calendars goes to support the Sara Baker Trust Fund, money that is raised to support Sara's continued care!  Get your calendar today!  Tell your friends!!

I'm sad to hear about Sara's condition but I'm glad she has you to support her

How is she doing? Are there any therapies for locked-in syndrome? Is she able to communicate at all?

Thanks for this group! I was just checking what I had on my DA page and I came across the original article about Sara. Reading the comments (still going?!) and saw your link to this group. All the links on the article are unavailable. I have read why, so no need to repeat! ^_^

It's nice she is slowly getting back together again. I hope help comes her way soon. It's a shame money is involved... But anywho. I shall be watching this group!

Also, question... If we submit works to this group, can they be sold to go towards the fund? Just an idea! I thought that might generate some extra revenue that the artist doesn't gain profit from, but the fund gets much needed cash to help Sara. If I get a camera for Christmas, I'd start taking photos (which I like doing anyway) and I could submit some here to be sold...

Yeah sure! If you wanted to sell prints or something and donate that'd be great :D

She just celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. I wish I could've gone to her party! CA is too far away from MA ; A ; Her house has gotten all kinds of sweet renovations it looks like from the pics :D

Ok then. It probably won't be for a while, but I will see what I can do. Also, it depends on if I sell anything! But I will try.

It's odd seeing her journal on DA, her writing as a carefree person, then going through what she has been through. I hope she comes back to DA (one way or another) soon. Problem is, she'll have one hell of a job getting through her messages! ^_^

I hope she does too!! haha yeah. She's back on Facebook with the special computer that she uses. I'm not sure if it has a special interface for it but she's able to interact and stuff so it's really great because I think she feels a bit alone sometimes. I hope she can get back on DA too someday! There are still ways for her to make art, I think.

Mostly the group is here just to be a community of support for Glory for when we have contests or do fund raisers. If you wanted to make her art work or something, I have a mailing address where you can send things :D
